Character Creation: Stephanie

Stephanie swept her thick mane of wavy brunette hair around her neck and over her left shoulder as she made her way down the stairs of Phi Sigma Sigma.  It was Thursday afternoon all of her classes were done for the week.  She'd come back to the sorority house to change before heading out to meet some friends at the university's student center to grab a late lunch.  It was Thirsty Thursday, and they were planning to go out strong that night, so a good meal was essential before they got to pregaming. 

A shudder shot through Stephanie, as the phrase pregaming brought to mind a recent run-in with some the college's nerdier students.  The week prior, she and few of her friend's had planned to hang out at a local coffee shop and work on a project, but upon arriving, they'd found that the shop was full up.  Most were there studying and chatting, but one group was clearly playing some sort of dumb fantasy game.  She and her friends had waited around for a few minutes, hoping some table would get up and leave, but it became apparent that that wasn't going to happen any time soon.  Frustrated by the inconvenience of it all, they'd decided that those nerds could play their dumb game anywhere, and told them to let people who were actually doing things with their lives sit down and get some work done.  The soft-spoken group weakly tried to make a case for their claim on the table, and when that hadn't worked, had offered that Stephanie's group could join them and try the game out.  That the find it pretty fun.  Stephanie and her friends had laughed at the thought, which seemed to do the trick.  The group quietly had quietly packed up and left after that, finally freeing up some space.  Stephanie didn't know why the thought made her shudder.  She supposed that she'd gotten something of an odd vibe from one of the gamers, who cast a strange look back at her. 

She shook off the odd feeling and made a turn for the door.  She looked back into the house.  It seemed pretty empty right now.  Everyone was probably out enjoying the nice afternoon, and relishing in the beginning of the weekend.  Stephanie had a mind to do the very same thing, but as she walked outside, she froze at the sight of the very nerd she'd just been thinking about, sitting, rather incongruously, at a small desk in the middle of the yard, not ten feet away from the front door of the sorority.  He had an odd look on his face again, this one belying an unsettling sense of anticipation.  Stephanie set her jaw and clenched one fist around the strap of her purse, the other settling on her hip.  "This building's for Phi Sigma Sigma members only.  What are you doing here...uh...?"  She realized that despite seeing the young man around campus, she didn't know his name. 

The young man's mouth twitched into the shape of a smile.  "Anthony's my name.  I was looking for you and your friends," he replied, handling some sort of small drawstring bag.  "I know you said no last time, but I thought I'd see if you might have changed your mind about trying out a some Dungeons & Dragons." 

Stephanie scoffed.  "Like I told you, dweeb, I don't wanna play some dumb game where you play pretend that you're a magic wizard or whatever." 

Anthony's mouth twitched again.  "Oh there's a version that's more real, if you're not interested in pretend," he said.  "With honest to god magic."  He fiddled with the drawstring bag again. 

Stephanie couldn't believe this idiot.  "You must be even more delusional than I thought.  Magic isn't REAL, dork!  And if it was, even MAGIC wouldn't get me to play your dumb Dungeons & Dragons game!" 

"I'll bet you it can," he said with that unsettling smile as he overturned the drawstring bag into his hand.  Out fell a number of dice in various shapes.  Dice Stephanie'd never really taken a good look at, only being familiar with the standard six-sided variety used for most games.  "But you can't play as yourself Stephanie.  You need to make a character first." 

Stephanie stood very still.  She found it a bit creepy that this guy she was fairly sure she'd only had one conversation with knew her name.  Sure she supposed there were any number of ways he could have found out, but the fact that he had gave her a sense of foreboding.  Who was this freak sitting at a desk in the front yard of her house? 

Anthony pulled out a few sheets of paper and a pencil, which looked to Stephanie as if they had a number of empty boxes printed on them.  He laid them on the table, pressed the end of his mechanical pencil, and made ready to write something down.  "What do you say Stephanie?  What kind of character would you like to be?" 

She ground her teeth and scowled.  "I told you I'm not playing, you freak!" she spat out, hoping to intimidate the young man into vacating the area and leaving her alone. 

He shrugged.  "Well then I guess I'll just have to roll up one for you at random.  Just remember that I did give you the option to choose."  He looked down at his sheet.  "Let's start out with some basics.  Sex, hmmm."  He looked over the dice arrayed on the table and picked one up after a moment.  "This ought to do." 

Stephanie was done with this.  She was about to reach into her purse to call campus security, when she heard the sound of the die hitting the surface of the desk.  And then it began.

Hi everyone,

This is what may be the first entry in a new series, in which you can commission entries.  The idea here is that an unseen person has decided to put this girl Stephanie, into their new Dungeons & Dragons campaign.  But surely she can't participate as she is.  She needs a character, more suited for the roleplaying experience.  But why just make one up, when you can become the character?  Stephanie doesn't know anything about the game, and clearly isn't very interested in making well-thought out decisions about who her character will be, so it will be up the Dungeon Master, and by extension you the viewer, to roll up a character for her via the dice. 

The changes that Stephanie goes through will be left up to chance.  Each new entry will consist of an attribute that will be determined by a roll of the dice. 

For example, the first attribute to decide will be sex.  The options will be

Male
Shemale
Futanari
Pussyboy

Neither you nor I will control the outcome of the roll.  Whatever it lands on will become the subject of the next entry in the series.  There will be no rerolls or going back.  It's purely based on chance, so no one knows how this will go or how Stephanie will end up. 

I haven't nailed down for certain yet how the entire process will go; whether to stick to D&D classes or maybe substitute some more erotic options.  The process so far consists of a mix of actual D&D attributes, and some that make sense given the nature of the work.  We'll see how things go, but first will be more basic attributes.  The order is subject to change, but this is how the process looks so far:

3. Race/Subrace
4. Height
5. Weight
6. Age
7. Hair Color
8. Body Measurements
9. Ability Scores
   a) Strength
   b) Dexterity
   c) Constitution
   d) Intelligence
   e) Wisdom
   f) Charisma
10. Class
11. Background

After that, depending on what Stephanie has become, maybe we'll go into things like tools, skills and the like. 

I'll post the options from which I'll roll in each new entry, so everyone knows ahead of time what is potentially coming up.  And if there's an option that I've missed that you think will make for something interesting, let me know and it may get added in. 

Please let me know your thoughts and opinions on this.  I'm excited by the idea, but it is a risky one, which for me is part of the fun.  I think with the amount of variability, it could lead to something none of us could have imagined.
